½ cup C&H® granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

(Chocolate Ornaments)

** Makes 6 Full ornaments and 3 halves

14oz Melted chocolate

6-cavity cylinder mold (Fill twice)

1 tablespoon vanilla ice cream per ornament (6 tablespoons total)

Mini peanut butter cups

Edible gold dust or gold spray

Directions

1. Make the Chocolate Ornaments. Coat each cavity of the 6-cavity sphere mold with melted chocolate and chill in the freezer until firm. Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla ice cream into half of each chocolate sphere. Seal with the other chocolate half with a thin layer of chocolate. Freeze. Add a mini peanut butter cup on top of each cylinder as the ornament cap. Adhere with a tiny dab of melted chocolate. Dust with edible gold and freeze while you prepare the brookie skillet.

2. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 14-inch cast iron skillet. Whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.

3. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well.

4. Add the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir until combined.

5. Fold in the chocolate chips and scoop the cookie dough into the skillet, leaving gaps in between to add the brownie mix.

6. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package. Spoon the brownie batter gently in between the cookie dough.

7. Bake 35–45 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is still slightly gooey. Cool for 10 minutes.

8. Place frozen, gold-dusted ornaments in the center of the warm brookie skillet just before serving. Crack into it and let the ice cream melt into the brookie.
