Cinnamon Sugar Sweet Potato Donut Fries

with McCain® Sweet Potato Crinkle Fries

Serves: 4

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

1 bag McCain® Sweet Potato Crinkle Fries

4 tablespoons melted butter, divided

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Maple Glaze (optional)

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

1/4 cup powdered sugar

Small splash of milk (to thin) 1 tsp

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

  2. Add the frozen McCain® Sweet Potato Crinkle Fries to a large mixing bowl.
Drizzle with 2 tablespoons melted butter and sprinkle with 2–3 tablespoons cinnamon sugar, tossing to coat.
Transfer the coated frozen fries to a baking sheet or air fryer basket.
Don’t worry — the butter will melt evenly as they heat.

  3. Air-fry or bake according to package directions until crisp and golden.

  4. Add the hot fries back into the bowl. Pour over the remaining 2 tablespoons melted butter and toss with the rest of the cinnamon sugar until every fry is coated like a little donut stick.

  5. Make the maple glaze (optional)
Whisk the maple syrup, powdered sugar, milk, and a pinch of salt until smooth and glossy.

  6. Pile onto a platter and serve with the warm maple glaze for dipping or drizzle over the top.
