Dip Dyed Table Linens

Dip it. Dye it. Dress your table with it! How gorgeous are these dip dyed table linens? So perfect for summer. You can also dye placemats and napkins. I'm in love with this project. I did it last week on Home and Family on the Hallmark Channel (weekdays 10am/9c). If you missed the episode you can scroll down for the tutorial : )

Dip Dyed Table Linens

What you need
Linen or cotton runner (you can buy a pre-made white table runner or buy fabric and make your own, linen, cotton and muslin works well)
White cotton napkins or placemats (if you don't want to
Fabric dye (I always use liquid RIT dye)
Large pot

1.Wet your runner and wring out the water.

2.Roll up the runner width-wise like a tube.

3. Make your color bath according to the package instructions on the back of RIT box.

4.Dip one end of the runner into the colored bath and hold for 3 minutes.

5.When the color looks vibrant, rinse the runner until the water turns clear.

6.After rinsing, re-roll your runner up and repeat the dip dye process on the other end.

7.Rinse and let dry. Wash alone the first couple times.
