The Best 10 Minute Hot Fudge

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • ⅔ cup semisweet chocolate
  • 8 ounces evaporated milkorhalf and half
  • ¾ cup granulated white sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 7 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  1. Melt 1/4 cup butter and chocolate together in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently.
  2. Once the chocolate and butter have melted, slowly whisk in the evaporated milk, granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt until well combined. Continue whisking over medium heat for 5-6 minutes until mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for another 2 minutes, whisking continuously.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool for five minutes until it thickens then serve immediately or allow to completely cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
