A large DIY piñata shaped like an ice cream cone made from poster board, newspaper, and balloons.

Ice Cream Piñata
What you need
- 12pt poster board (32" wide for large size)
- Wax paper
- White flour
- Water
- Newspaper
- Balloon (9" to 16")
- Heavy rope
- Tape
- Candy
- Crepe paper
- Ivory napkins
- Brown coffee filters
- Hot glue gun
Directions
- Roll poster board into a cone shape and tape. Cut off top point and wrap with wax paper. Make glue mixture by combining flour and water to yogurt consistency. Cut newspaper into 2" strips. Apply three layers of newspaper strips to cone, allowing 24 hours drying time between each layer. Flip cone upside down in a vase. Inflate balloon and tape in place. Apply three layers of newspaper strips to balloon, overlapping onto cone, with 24 hours drying between layers. After all layers dry, cut holes on sides and thread rope through for hanging. Cut flap in top to insert candy and crepe paper for filler. Decorate with ivory napkins on bottom half of cone and brown coffee filters (folded in half and hot glued) for the cone texture.
