Viral Ghost Art Cheese Board

Charcuterie Art 👻 with @eatmiltons 🧀 Spookily delicious, supernaturally crispy + certified gluten free. Because if ghosts threw a party, this is exactly what would be on the table 😉

All the spooky details below!

For the presentation I simply taped black ribbon to the back of my boards with strong duct tape and then I hooked it over a metal frame hook which I taped to my table with a rolled piece of duct tape. *Obviously this can’t really be hung on the wall 😆

I filled the mini 1 ml plastic syringes with a tiny amount of cherry jam and placed them in a bowl near the cheese.

Ingredients

11-15oz Silver Goat cheese, slightly warmed

*Trader Joes has a nice silver goat cheese. If you want “thick ghosts” buy two logs - you will use 1 and a half

Black peppercorn (eyes) or capers

Offset spatula or spoon

Cheddar cheese

Brie

Any marbled cheese, chunked

Figs, halved

Edible candy eyes 👀

TJ Pumpkin Seeds

Green Halloween Mini snicker bars, chopped

TJ Candied Pecans

Orange slices

Blackberries + Edible gold glitter

Sour Cherry Fruit Spread

Chocolate Macarons

Prosciutto or salami

Mini Pickles

Olives

Directions

  1. Remove your goat cheese log from the wrapper and place it on a plate. ** Warm your goat cheese for about 30 seconds in the microwave so it’s easier to spread. Cold cheese will crumble and it’s hard to work with. If you warm your cheese too much, refrigerate it for a bit.**

  2. Using an offset spatula or the back of a spoon start pressing goat cheese down from the middle of your slate board. Work down the board not up. If you keep a bowl of super hot water next to you while you do this, you can gradually dip the spoon in hot water then the goat cheese and it will make for a “smoother ghost”.

  3. Once you have all the ghosts, add two peppercorn to each one for the eyes.

  4. To the second board add all your cheese and meats and layer in your Milton’s crackers. Add desired sweets, pickles, veggies, and fruit. Serve both boards immediately.
