Cinnamon Sugar Sweet Donut Bread

This is my grandma’s sweet donut bread. It’s warm, comforting, and perfect for a party, morning brunch, or holiday gathering. It’s fairly simple to make and you can bake it in any loaf pan. The one I used is linked below!

Cinnamon Sugar Sweet Donut Bread

Ingredients

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup C&H® Granulated Sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 large eggs, room temperature

1/4 cup vegetable oil

½ cup buttermilk or Eggnog

1 tablespoon C&H® Light Brown Sugar

1½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

Topping

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

¼ cup C&H® Light Brown Sugar, packed

¼ cup C&H® Granulated Sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and a loaf pan.

  2. Cream the softened butter, C&H® Granulated Sugar, and C&H® Light Brown Sugar until pale and fluffy.

  3. Add eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

  4. Pour in buttermilk or Eggnog and stir to combine.

  5. Whisk dry ingredients in a separate bowl (flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon).

  6. Combine wet + dry gently until just mixed.

  7. Make topping: Mix melted butter, C&H® Light Brown Sugar, C&H® Granulated Sugar, and cinnamon.

  8. Layer: Add half the batter, spoon some topping, add the rest, and swirl.

  9. Bake 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

  10. Cool + slice once fully cooled for clean cuts.
