Trader Joe’s Mini Hold the Cone Ice cream

Golf Ball Mold ⛳️

Directions

1. Clear a space in your freezer for a small baking sheet because you will need to pop these in right away. Place your golf ball molds on the baking sheet and set aside. Cut off the tip of all your ice cream tops so they have a perfectly round top. Place back in freezer.

2. Two options: (Candy Melt Option) Place 4 white candy melts directly into each cavity of your mold and melt in the microwave at 30 second intervals until melted.

OR (White Chocolate Option) Melt your white chocolate at 30 second intervals in a glass bowl, stirring in between each time, until completely melted. Spoon a small amount into the mold. (If your white chocolate seizes while melting add 1 teaspoon of vegetable shortening and stir until smooth again.)

3. Press your chocolate up the edges of each cavity with a spoon. If using candy melts immediately insert mini ice cream cones into each cavity and place back in freezer. If using white chocolate, let the chocolate sit for 3-5 minutes before adding the ice cream cones. This will help the ice cream cone to not sink to the bottom and peek through the chocolate. It will also help to not melt the cone. After inserting ice cream cones immediately place in freezer. Freeze for ten minutes or until ready to eat.

** TIPS: Candy melts work better for this recipe because they harden quickly! If some of your cones show through the chocolate, simply spoon another small amount of white chocolate into a clean cavity and place the already hardened chocolate covered golf ball into the new melted chocolate. This is basically just a second coat.
