Chocolate Lego Valentines

The last time I made these chocolate Legos was in 2014 on a tv show called Home and Family. Ten years later here I am! These are super easy and always fun. All the links below.

Directions

1. If using candy melts, place in a glass bowl at 30 second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted. **(If candy melts seize, add 1 tsp of shortening and stir until candy melts are liquid again.)

2. If you are melting chocolate, you will want to temper your chocolate so place the chocolate in a glass or silicone bowl and heat on high for 30 seconds, then stir. Heat for another 30 seconds, stir, then 15 seconds, stir, and one more time for 15 seconds then stir. Make sure your temperature never goes above 90ºF for dark chocolate. 86ºF for milk chocolate and 84ºF for white chocolate. Make sure to stir in between each interval. Now your chocolate is in temper and ready to use.

3. Pour your chocolate into your Lego molds and place on a sheet pan.

4. Carefully pound your sheet pan with your molds on the counter so the bubbles rise to the top. You will do this repeatedly for 1-2 minutes until all bubbles are gone. This will also ensure all the chocolate gets into the little lego circles on the bottom of the mold.

5. Refrigerate molds for 30 minutes before removing Legos.
