Classic Brigadeiros. Made with only four ingredients, this Brazilian sweet is easy to make and so delicious. The key is to continuously stir the fudge-like mixture on low to medium heat until it thickens. Roll in sprinkles and serve! I partnered with Vanity Fair Napkins on this post because their napkins elevate any special occasion and they are perfect for holding this sweet treat! Scroll down for the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sprinkles

Method

  1. In a pot over low to medium heat (closer to low), melt the butter, sweetened condensed milk, and cocoa powder, stirring continuously for about 10 minutes. Do not stop stirring.
  2. Drag a spatula through the bottom of the pan until you can see the center of the pot for about 3 seconds before it melts back together. If it separates for 3 seconds or more you are good to go.
  3. Pour into a shallow greased dish and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. Roll the chilled mixture into balls then roll in chocolate sprinkles. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  5. To make the chocolate flowers, melt white chocolate or candy melts in a double boiler, until melted. Add one teaspoon of vegetable oil to thin out the chocolate.
  6. Cut a couple liner into a rough flower shape and plant the inside of the cupcake liner. Place on a baking sheet and freeze for ten minutes. Remove the paper liner and place a brigadeiro inside the flower cup.
  7. **Tips: Store in refrigerator. Gently grease hands before rolling into balls for easy rolling. If you do not cook the mixture long enough, the mixture will not
