DIY Statement Necklaces
What you need
- Gold spray paint
- Cardstock (12 pt)
- Gold glitter
- Hole punch
- Glossy Mod Podge
- Necklace chain
- Scissors
- X-Acto Knife (optional)
- State Template
Directions
- Print out state template and trace your state onto 12 pt cardstock. Cut out state using scissors or X-Acto Knife.
- Lay state on paper and spray paint gold on both sides, allowing drying time between sides.
- Apply thin layer of Mod Podge on one side and cover with gold glitter. Let dry. Repeat on other side.
- Once dry, apply another thin layer of Mod Podge over glitter on one side and let dry. Repeat on other side. This seals the glitter so it won't shed onto clothing.
- Hole punch the top of state and string through jewelry chain to complete necklace.
