DIY Sweater Cuffs
What you need
- Old stretchy sweater
- Fabric scissors
- Bonding tape
- Jar (optional, for stretching fabric)
Directions
- Select a stretchy old sweater you no longer want to wear. The arms must stretch enough to fit around your thigh.
- Using fabric scissors, cut the sleeves off the sweater.
- If the fabric isn't very stretchy, wrap the leg warmer around a jar while applying bonding tape to help it stretch.
- Turn the sweater sleeve inside out.
- Apply bonding tape all along the edge of the sweater sleeve. Alternatively, you can sew a hem using elastic thread if you know how to sew.
- Flip the hem up and press down the tape.
- Turn the cuff right side out. Note: Leg warmers are currently trendy but can be hard to find with fun patterns, making this a cheap and easy DIY alternative.
