Create festive lined paper-style t-shirts perfect for the first day back to school using fabric paint and masking tape.

Back to School T-shirts
What you need
- 1 black white t-shirt
- Red fabric paint
- Blue fabric paint
- 2" Masking tape
- Paint Brush
- Piece of Cardboard
- Sharpie (optional)
- Black fabric paint (optional)
Directions
- Lay white t-shirt on flat surface and insert cardboard to prevent paint from bleeding through both sides.
- Lay 2" masking tape horizontally across shirt, leaving 1/4" line between each piece of tape for blue lines. Start first line below armpit and press tape down firmly to prevent paint bleed.
- Carefully paint blue line in middle between two pieces of tape. Repeat for all lines going to edge of shirt. Let dry.
- When dry, peel off masking tape and apply two pieces of masking tape vertically on left-hand side with center at shoulder. Space between tape should be 1/4" for red line.
- Paint red line all the way down and let dry, then peel off tape.
- Optional: Have child write name on t-shirt with Sharpie, then carefully go over with paint brush and black fabric paint.
