How to make a Floral Turkey Centerpiece for Thanksgiving

Floral Turkey Centerpiece
What you need
- 1 medium size pumpkin
- 1 small gourd
- Drill & 1/8" or larger drill bit
- Dried flowers, straw, or fresh greenery
- Felt
- Scissors
- Crazy Glue
- Small Envelope
- Clothespin
Directions
- Drill rows of small holes in a curved line across the back of your pumpkin in about 3 rows deep, curving slightly to resemble turkey feathers. Don't go past the middle half of the pumpkin.
- Scrape off excess pumpkin scraps and dry with paper towel. Insert back row with tallest dried flowers (14"), cut down to 12" for middle row and 10" for front row as you move toward where the head will be.
- Arrange flowers so they resemble a turkey, placing larger droopy flowers on the sides and tall straight straw pieces in the center.
- Place the gourd on the pumpkin. If gluing, use tiny amount of crazy glue. Note: hot glue will cause pumpkin to rot faster.
- Cut a diamond shaped piece of yellow or orange felt for the beak and glue over the stem. Cut snoods from red or peach felt and glue underneath the beak. Add eyes using googley eyes or tiny black felt pieces.
