I have been making these antique cake stands since college. They are inexpensive, easy to make, and beautiful. They literally take minutes to put together. They would be a perfect hostess gift or great for Mother’s Day.

DIY Antique Cake Stand

What you need
- E600 glue
- Antique plates or bowls
- Antique glasses or tea cups
- Lead test strips:

- Wash and dry your antique plates and glasses. Flip all your plates upside down.

- Place a small amount of E6000 glue to the edge of the base of your glass. Press the glass down to the center of your plate and make sure to not let it slide. Carefully place a heavy book overtop (making sure to not slide the glass) and allow to dry completely overnight. Hand wash.

Tips:Hand wash only. Hot glue will not work for this project. Only use E6000.
