DIY Fringe Necklaces
What you need
- Necklace chain with clasp
- Epoxy 6000
- Fringe trim or metal fringe
- Fabric scissors
- Ruler
- Needle nose pliers (for chain fringe option)
- Jump hooks (for chain fringe option)
Directions
- Lay out your fringe and using a ruler determine how long you want your fringe to be. Usually 7 inches (it will hang).
- Cut the bottom thread off your trim to release all the fringe pieces.
- Lay out your chain link necklace and measure from end to center to know exactly where fringe will be placed.
- Glue along the center of the backside of the fringe and place gently in the middle of the chain. Run your finger across to ensure it's perfectly placed. Let dry for 1 hour, completely dry overnight.
- For chain link fringe, buy chain fringe in the jewelry aisle and attach using jump hooks and needle nose pliers.
TIP: Make sure your necklace chain is completely flat and all links are facing the same direction when gluing so it hangs correctly when dry.
