Christmas Glitter Dipped Mason Jars
What you need
- Krylon Spray Paint (Glossy Red)
- Mod Podge
- Paint Brush (1")
- Red Martha Stewart Glitter
- Mason jars
- Cardboard
Directions
- Turn jar upside down on cardboard and spray with spray paint, standing at least 12" away. Don't worry if not totally covered. Let dry slightly and spray again.
- Let dry for 1 hour in cold weather or 30 minutes in hot weather.
- Once dry, use 1" paint brush to apply Mod Podge to bottom portion of jar. Sprinkle with glitter. Work in sections so glue doesn't dry. Optional: seal with another coat of Mod Podge, though this reduces the glittery gleam.
Tips: These are decorative jars - be careful as spray paint chips if scratched and do not get the outside wet. To create a perfect straight line, lay jar on table and use a piece of paper as a guide. Do not use tape as it will pull off the spray paint. Can also be made in green or blue for other holidays.
