What you need
- Black Christmas tree (4.5')
- Clear ornaments
- Wire-edged ribbon
- Silver glitter star
- Spray paint (rust color)
- Black and white raw material fabric
- Serger or sewing machine
- Faux fur tree skirt
- Faux reindeer head with gold antlers
- Black wreath
- Throw blanket material
Directions
- Start with a 4.5' black Christmas tree as your base.
- Keep decor minimal and clean with black and white color scheme to avoid gothic appearance.
- Use clear ornaments from a craft store like Michaels.
- Use wire-edged ribbon which can be tied around individual branches to create perfectly shaped bows.
- For the tree star: take a cheap silver glitter star from Michaels and spray paint it to look rusty, matching your metallic-rust faux antlers.
- For the throw blanket: purchase black and white raw material from fabric stores like Joanne's Fabric. Serge the ends to finish.
- Add a faux fur tree skirt and faux reindeer head with antlers to warm up the dark tree.
- Pair with complementary home decor like black and white striped rugs and pillows to tie the theme together throughout the room.
