Cinnamon Roll Waffles

I got a new waffle maker today …. and then I got this crazy idea….
I put my cinnamon rolls on my waffle maker.
Introducing the Cinnamon Roll Waffle!

I tried two kinds of cinnamon rolls but I found it was best to use the Pillsbury Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls (7.3 oz can) – There are 5 rolls in the can and they are thinner so they cook more evenly. These rolls cooked in 2 minutes or less so watch carefully and test your own waffle maker with one roll before you cook all of them. Serve with icing (comes in the cinnabon can) or syrup!

Tip: Use non-stick spray on your waffle maker and make sure it is pre-heated. (Just like you would make  a normal waffle)

A creative dessert made by cooking cinnamon rolls in a waffle maker.
Servings 5 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 can Pillsbury Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls 7.3 oz can containing 5 rolls
  • Non-stick spray for waffle maker
  • Icing comes in the cinnabon can, or use syrup

Method

  1. Preheat your waffle maker and spray with non-stick spray.
  2. Place one cinnamon roll on the waffle maker and close the lid.
  3. Cook for 2 minutes or less, watching carefully. The rolls are thin so they cook quickly and unevenly if overcooked.
  4. Remove the waffle and serve with icing or syrup.
  5. Repeat with remaining cinnamon rolls.

Notes

Use Pillsbury Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls (7.3 oz can) for best results as they are thinner and cook more evenly than other brands. Ensure waffle maker is preheated and sprayed with non-stick spray like you would for making normal waffles. Test with one roll first to determine your waffle maker's cooking time. Recommended waffle maker: Presto 3510 FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker.
