5 Ingredient Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs

These peanut butter eggs are to die for. I don't know what to say other than I just ate three with my coffee in about two minutes flat. These are freaking amazing. I'm feeling a little sick because I haven't had breakfast yet, but truly they are a special little quick dessert. If you are making these for Easter you can add sprinkles or stripe them with white chocolate. All options are equally delicious. Recipe is below!

5 Ingredient Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
(1) 16oz package of confectioners’ sugar
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1-1/2 cups semi (or milk) chocolate chips
1 tbs vegetable shortening

Directions

1. In a large bowl, cream the butter.

2. Gradually add the confectioners’ sugar and peanut butter.

3. With your hands shape the mixture into 16 eggs and place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

4. In a microwave safe bowl, melt semi or milk chocolate chips and shortening; stir until smooth. Dip eggs in chocolate and allow excess to drip off. Decorate with sprinkles or leave as is. Return eggs to waxed paper. Chill until set.
